Marty has written poetry and stories since he was a child
and has always tried to look at things with unique perspectives. 

Growing up on a dairy farm in North Carolina gave him a respect
for life, death, and beauty, early on. 

Images from that time still contribute to many of the underlying thoughts
in his poetry.  Today, Marty lives in California, but without the cows.
